The delicately carved mammoth ivory samurai has been carved from one piece of ivory and that is clearly seen from the fine details, fluid lines and miniscule details on the figurine.
Look at the intricate pattern on tunic, the detailed arrows in the quiver and even the headdress.
Notice the facial expressions which talks about the skill of the master carver.

Set on a teakwood base that has been carved to complement the mammoth ivory figurine, this amazingly carved samurai seems real.
The tunic and armor stands out due to the extremely delicate hand painted patterns that have been done over the created grooves in the ivory to give it the right look.
See the clean, clear lines, geometric patterns, floral patterns on the helmet and fine detailing on the armor.
Even the leg armor has different patterns on the front and the back, showing the skill of the artist.
Signed by the master carver, this authentic ivory sourced from the extinct wooly mammoth had been buried in the permafrost of the Arctic and this retains the discoloration in places such as the arrows.
Discoloration is a proof that the mammoth ivory tusk was indeed sourced directly from the Arctic regions.
