See this well-carved Japanese Geisha, cleaning and dressing herself. The master artist has caught her in action. Although her hair is perfectly coiffeured, but her upper body remains uncovered. She has a slight smile on her face while the beautiful kimono takes all the limelight. Look at the intricate patterns of delicate floral combined with geometrical designs that lend a perfect amalgamation of motifs on the kimono. See the style and the pose of the Geisha. Her half-enticing smile and beautiful ensemble gives a charming look. The kimono is designed and carved with equal skill, giving a real Oriental look to the figurine.
Look at the skill with which the hands, the face and the hairstyle have been carved. Each tiny finger, strand of hair is in place and carved to perfection. Notice the gourd ties at the back that she holds with her other hand while her right hand has a washcloth to wipe herself. The fall and folds in the half-tied kimono has been sculpted beautifully with each curve in delineated lines.
The complete sculpture rests on a simple yet finely polished teakwood stand that provides the right balance to the finely crafted figurine.
