This extremely detailed hand sculpted Meissen porcelain sculpture of four figurines singing around the tree is exquisite. Notice the details in porcelain and the intricately hand painted details that are carefully delineated by the master sculptor, J.J Kandler. The excellent condition Meissen Porcelain figurine of ‘Allegory of ring around the tree’ showcases the caliber of the artist and the delicate details in such fineness.Look at the boy in red pinstripes or the girl with a purple bodice. Notice the moving skirt and the folds that are created with the rippling breeze as she moves around the tree. See the olive green bow tied on her arm while the dainty porcelain fingers open up to hold the hand of the biy next to her, as they circle the tree.
See the girl in a yellow apron and with red bows on the sleeves. The delicate floral sprays on her dress are exemplified by the crumpled yellow apron. Notice the folds and how it is gathered around her waist. Look at the tiny blue flowers beneath the red waistcoat that the boy wears. Don’t miss the folds and curves on the elbow and at the frill at the wrist. The slight turn of the head and the golden hair tied with a black bow is realistically sculpted. Look at the other boy with a black hat and strikingly bright shirt while the coat is delicately painted in pastel shades but has an intricate pattern. Notice the hand painted patterns on the shirt in yellow and blue.
The beautiful tree has splendid leaves sculpted with Meissen porcelain while the glazing gives the tree trunk a beautiful color. The verdant leaves and grass below the tree completes the scenic beauty of the sculpture.
