Look at the pair of pandas carved within the tip mammoth ivory tusk by the Master Carver. The artist has done a fabulous job with the piece of ivory, carving it with extreme care. Antique ivory is very fragile and only Master Carvers can work on it. Look at the adorable pair of pandas that have been carved. Notice the big eyes and the expressions that the Master Carver has been able to delineate into solid mammoth ivory.
See the panda on the bottom which is the larger of the two. It is munching on bamboo shoots and there is a small piece in its mouth. Look at its paws. Each claw is visible while it has alert ears. Notice the bamboo leaves spread across the figurine. It looks as if the two pandas are in a bamboo cluster. The artist has managed to carve it in action. Look at the smaller of the two pandas, peeping from the bamboo groves. See the artistic way the face and paws are carved giving it a look as it is ready to jump out of the tree. The creativity shines through the top of the tusk, the way it has been carved. Notice the tiny holes, decorating the sculpture artistically.
At the back, the hollow parts are inducted into the sculpture creatively. As the figurine has been carved from the end point of the tusk, the Master Carver has artistically incorporated the spaces with appropriate etchings. Notice the texture of the tree, the way the two pandas are peeing from the large bamboo shoot is an amazing way to utilize complete tip of the mammoth ivory tusk. Signed by the artist and set upon a wooden base, the genuine ivory sculpture is stable and vertically carved, enhancing the beauty of the hued ivory.
