Model G 83 was created circa 1781
Schönheit started his career at Meissen Manufactory when he was eleven years old: He received first education as modeller’s apprentice in year 1741 / finally, Schönheit got leading position at the latest in year 1768 when documents called him ‘a leading member of the so-said White Corps’. – The designer and modeller had worked together with Kaendler for more than 20 years as well as collaborated with Acier when the latter had entered Meissen manufactory in year 1762 / Schönheit became first modeller of Meissen manufactory after Kaendler’s death in year 1775. Schönheit retired in year 1794.

This STUNNING MEISSEN FIGURINE GROUP is worked in gorgeous manner:
— VENUS, HAVING SAT DOWN ON SEAT CONSISTING OF CLOUDS, communicates with winged AMOR which has put his Arrows of Love into quiver / additionally, the cherub seizes a garland of rose flowers. The Goddess is accompanied by a nymph who stands next to her / there are some pigeons (= SYMBOL OF PEACE) situated on ground.
The figurines are based on oval rocky base decorated with golden painted border.
