Crafted from the single piece of mammoth ivory tusk, the beautiful Samurai has been sculpted with perfection.
Though the details on the dress are hand-painted after grooves were made, the exquisite beauty radiates as it is affine piece of artistic talent.
Signed by the master carver, it authenticates that it has been handcrafted and made from organic, lustrous mammoth ivory which is legally bought and sold all over the world.


Notice the delicate details on the headdress, the finely chiseled sword and the details on the body armor, the traditional dress of a Japanese Samurai.
The figurine is safely set on the solid teakwood base that is sculpted from a single piece of wood and accentuates the beauty of the mammoth ivory art piece.
See the fluid details, the curve of the hand, toes and even the tiny toenails are clearly visible.
The details on the tunic, arrows in the quiver, the master artist has clearly spent a lot of time in sculpting it in such fine details.

    Mammoth ivory, Elephant Ivory - real or fake?

    There is always a fear that the ivory sculpture that you bought might turn out to be a fake, because as a layman you may not be able to differentiate between a clever replicas and real ivory. However, with experience in this field and handling nearly all types of ivory, it becomes easy to differentiate just by seeing it.

    Even though pure ivory can be of various quality and types, the fake ivory is made from resins. The powder that is left after sawing/carving ivory or remnants from bone sculptures are not wasted but all added to resins, put into molds.
