This antique mammoth ivory tusk has been carved by the Master Carver and showcases an assorted size of frogs. Look at the textured skin of the frogs as if they are studded with diamonds. Look at the expert skill of the artist, as they have managed to put in such intricate details into each frog. The actions of each frog are varied, as they are jumping around. See the large and small frogs, some sitting on the lotus leaves, while others seem to move around the corals. Notice the rough textured skin of the frogs, the corals and the plain skin of some frogs.
Although the antique mammoth ivory is white, as it lay buried within the permafrost, it absorbed the soil minerals and that has lent it a brown hue. Notice the skill of the artist as he has managed to use the brown highlights to bring out into the limelight the frog’s skin texture while some of them are carved deeper and are white. This is a piece of the tusk yet not an inch of space has been wasted. Look at the large lotus leaves and the mass of lotus stems among which the frogs are frolicking. See the tiny webbed feet and the proportionate body of the frogs despite the varying sizes. The lifelike appeal and the high quality workmanship is the signature of a master carver.
Look at the back of the mammoth ivory tusk. See the cracks and splinted ivory which shows that it is authentic mammoth ivory tusk. As it lay buried under the tundra regions, it robbed organic ivory of the moisture, drying it up over eons. The amazingly carved mammoth ivory tusk is set upon a wooden stand, giving it a beautiful look.
